Delighted to have Anne-Marie back at the Tree House after several years since her last visit!
Anne-Marie Sanderson is an artist who has taken the scenic route, living across the map and working in various fields, with music running as an ever-present current through her life. ‘OldLight’, her forthcoming debut album, brings together songs written over the course of a decade, drawing on themes of nature, personal growth, and ancestral wisdom.
Anne-Marie’s songwriting is both thought-provoking and uplifting, combining deft guitar work with imaginative melodies, and her delivery combines a heartfelt tenderness with a sense of purpose. Lush string and woodwind textures create a dreamy and expansive sound world, equally well-suited to accompany morning coffee as for late-night listening. Anne-Marie lives on the edge of the Lake District.
Press for Anne-Marie's previous release, "Book Songs Vol. 1" (2018):
"a gloriously wide vista of astonishing grown-up tales which both fascinate and delight – the overall result, complex and immersive, is mesmerising... A bold, unusual and most beautifully constructed body of work." - Tap the Feed Magazine
"thoroughly atmospheric" - Northern Sky
