Zoom talk: Nativity!

A look at some of the ways the story of the birth of Christ was depicted in Northern Renaissance art. Not so cosy,beautiful but full of the bitter harshness of Christ's purpose and some of the realities of the painters' world.

An online talk, which lasts about an hour and includes time for questions.

Lecturer is Dr Victoria Mier (PhD Bristol), a specialist in the art of Northern Europe in the 15th and 16th centuries.
